Page 86. At a Court held at Southwarke for this county on this day, 4 May l6?5. "Phis day was produced and read at Court by the Hon. Col. Tho. Swann and a Letter from Capt. John Jennings and Importing an offer of the Honorable Coll, Joseph Bridger and the Justices of the County of Isle of Wight to ascertain the dividing line between that County & this which Letter was by the said Coll. Swann and the whole Court received with kind and hearty acceptance and the araicable teno\ir thereof deserving noe less the termes being Honorable and convenient for the peace and satisfaction of the Inhabitants and sufficient evidence of the worth and prudence of the proposal. Coll. Swann and the COBS, of this County hath Therefore unanimously commanded me to return this answer that they doe most willingly Irabrace the Motion and Hill by the Grace of God, Health and Heather permitting, attend the Gentlemen of that County upon Whitsun Tuesday at Harding's Mill, that is to say Coll. Thos.
