Chatham County, NC Deed book D page 540 7 Nov 1787, registered Nov 1788. ...know ye that Nicholas Harden of Chatham County State of North Carolina for and in consideration of the just and full sum of one hundred pound current money of North Carolina to me in hand ... paid by Drury Parham of the said county of Chatham and state of North Carolina ... have conveyed ... a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the county of Chatham and State of North Carolina containing one hundred acres more or less buted and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at post oak Wammacks Corner at the county line running with this said linewest to a line then North to a boack oak corner to this former entry of land thence east with the said line to a black oak on Wommacks line thence south with the said line to the first station, the same being one hundred acres more or less ... In witness whereof the said Nicholas Harden have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty seven.
